Zakir Hossain Akand, Managing Director of SFDF, is an active, smiling and friendly officer. After he joined the SFDF, the image of the organization changed throughout the country. He has become a public servant to all the officers and employees of the office. None of the officers and employees returned disappointed after going to him. People of all classes of professions are acceptable to him for any work. Its doors are open to all kinds of people for all time. This is known from sources. Recently, last Sunday, this talented officer visited the broken SFD upazila office in Faridpur.

This reporter talked to him after the visit, in response to a question, Zakir Hossain Akand said, look, we are government servants, paid employees, our work will be for the country, for the people of the country. I have taken the job to serve people, to give something to the country, that is what I am trying to do.


He also said that efficiency and transparency are needed to move the country forward. Accountability and creativity are required. The path of such heroes is easy and successful. Therefore, there is a great need for a creative person in every office, whose activities will gradually reach the whole country.

Zakir Hossain Akand, former Secretary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Government, has been appointed as Managing Director of Small Farmer Development Foundation (SFDF) on 11/08/2021 AD. Joined the date. His creativity started by joining. The entire structure of the SFDF changed soon after his accession. Since taking responsibility, he started shaping SFDF in his own way with new ideas. His integrity and efficiency brought back transparency and dynamism to every activity in the organization. He is always vocal against any wrongdoing of the organization. As soon as he received the complaint, he immediately started taking action. The current Managing Director Md. Zakir Hossain Akand is working sincerely to make SFDF a best financial institution by breaking the barriers of long-standing irregularities and corruption.

According to the information search, the current managing director Zakir Hossain Akand single-handedly pulled the company from the ruins on the edge of the ditch. Before he joined the officers and employees did not get salary and full salary allowance before 7-10. The defaulter's salary was deducted from the salary. But the announcement came from the day after he joined that everyone will get salary on 1st and no salary deduction. It has been the same since the next month. After many ages, the officials-employees-employees got a taste of salary without deduction. The pace of work increased, the company began to see the face of profit. The company turned around overnight. UMs who did not have motorcycles within 1 month of joining, quickly arranged for them and decided to give motorcycles instead of bicycles to FOs. Field allowance fixed at 1600 taka instead of 500 taka. Decided to give 5% increment instead of 3%. Mobile bills were not paid earlier. Billing was decided only after he joined. The whole organization was held hostage by a syndicate with transfer trades, promotion trades, harassing departmental cases. He broke up the syndicate soon after joining and started taking action against corrupt officers. Transfers closer to home allow bona fide officers to be promoted on the basis of seniority and avoid harassment cases. He came with a new project called Rupkalp 2041 of 150 crore rupees. Where 27 new upazila institutions have increased. Besides, he took concern to bring 3-4 more projects. After he joined, he held meetings with all field level officers and employees at the upazila district level, brightening the image of the organization, listened attentively to the problems, complaints, benefits of the beneficiaries and solved the problems quickly. No one is afraid to talk to him anyone can call anytime. If any complaint is received, immediate verification and action is taken. He solved all the problems like ceiling problem, complexity of official documents while working in the field. Distribution of loans among real farmers and continuous activities in all unions is the result of his efforts. He amended the regulations and handed over the work instructions to each officer and employee. All transactions are arranged through checks with super monitoring to ensure that corrupt officers do not take any bogus loans. Taking the first place among all institutions of LGRD Ministry in AP contract implementation in 2023-24 proves how successful MD he is. In each of his schemes, the public welfare has decreased and the quality of service to the beneficiaries has increased. Digital service provision program has been launched in every office in overall management.
In this context, Bhanga Upazila Manager Md. Shah Alam said, Sir is an honest and humane officer. His greed for money never works. Ever since he joined SFDF like the BCS administration, his impartiality, integrity and efficiency have impressed everyone. Sir does not work for any party but all parties, all people like and love him. The key to SFDF's current success is our MD Sir. He doesn't like unskilled unskilled people. A workaholic. He does not understand any relatives. No one can take advantage of him by unreasonably lobbying him. Before he came, there were only Ha Hutash among the officials, the name of the institution was bad but after Sir came, the Ha-Hutas brand story changed overnight. However, some evil people of SADF who looted the institution have fallen into trouble after the arrival of Sir.

Commenting on these achievements of MD, agriculturist Wahiduzzan said, "Zakir sir is an extraordinary person as a high-ranking responsible administrative officer of the government and a human servant. He performed every responsibility assigned by the government with professionalism. His love and honesty impressed the masses including the SFDF.'

Managing Director Zakir Hossain Akand said, "Government officials are servants of the people. In addition to fulfilling the responsibility assigned to me, I always try to alleviate people's suffering.
