Ashura Mahfil Concludes with Tearful Prayers and "Amen" Chants

The two-day Ashura Mahfil of Madina Jamaat concluded with tearful prayers and resounding "Amen" chants. This annual event, commemorating the holy Ashura and the martyrs of Karbala, was held on the 9th and 10th of Muharram at the central office of Madina Jamaat, Kamalla, Muradnagar, Cumilla. It was dedicated to the memory of Hazrat Pir Saheb Hujur Maulana Md. Habibur Rahman Khandaker (Rah.) of Madina Jamaat Kamalla.

The mahfil commenced yesterday, Monday, at 8 AM, presided over by the current Hazrat Pir Saheb Hujur of Madina Jamaat Kamalla, Ameer-e-Shariat Pir-e-Kamel Principal Alhaj Maulana Shah A. N. M. Saifur Rahman Khandaker. The event was conducted by his younger son, Pirzada Maulana Md. Hedayatullah Khandaker Saheb, with thousands of devotees in attendance.

The two-day special teachings, Zikr, and prayer mahfil concluded yesterday morning with important advice, teachings, and supplications by Madina Jamaat Bangladesh's Ameer, Pir-e-Kamel Shah Sufi Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Md. Saifur Rahman Khandaker Pir Saheb Hujur. Speakers who delivered important advice, Zikr, and sermons to all attendees included:

 * Former Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Ahsan Ullah

 * Dr. Mufti Badiul Alam Sarkar, Principal of Mahmuda Khatun Kamil Madrasa, Dhaka, and Chief Khalifa of Madina Jamaat Kamalla Darbar Sharif

 * Maulana Habibullah Belali Pir Saheb Sarail

 * Syed Mamunur Rashid

 * Alhaj Hazrat Mawlana Md. Mohsin Kabir Yusufi Saheb (Narayanganj), Pir Saheb Kadamtali Cumilla, a rising young orator with a melodious voice who has captivated all of Bengal.

 * Dr. Masum Baki Billah, Professor, Dhaka University

 * Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Jasim

 * Muhaddis Kazi Sharifullah

 * Shahzada Khwaja Moinuddin Khandaker Md. Habibullah Sarkar

Many other Pirs, Mashayekh, Ulema-e-Keram, numerous Khalifas and Muballighs of Madina Jamaat, along with many teachers and scholars, were also present.

Call for Righteous Living

In their speeches, the speakers called upon everyone to lead their lives in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah, drawing lessons from the incident of Karbala, and to be inspired by the Husaini spirit for peace in this world and salvation in the hereafter. They also urged regular recitation of Madina Jamaat's teachings and adherence to its ideals.

Attendees and Concluding Prayers

Attendees included the President, Secretary, and all members of Bangladesh Noor-e-Madina Chhatra Kafela, along with countless students and teachers from Kamalla Madinatul Ulum Kamil Madrasa, Jameya Habibia Sunnia Diniya Madrasa, Darus Sunnah Cadet Madrasa, and Ashraful Ulum Hafizia Madrasa, as well as thousands of devotees from various parts of the country.

Finally, with tears in the eyes of thousands, and amidst widespread weeping, the Ameer-e-Shariat Hazrat Pir Saheb Hujur of Kamalla concluded the mahfil with a special, lengthy supplication, praying for the welfare and prosperity of the country and nation, for the devotees and followers of Madina Jamaat, and for the salvation of the souls of the departed.
