In Naogaon, the complaint of dismissal of government property worth two and a half crore rupees in private ownership
Nuruzzaman Liton, District Representative, Naogaon
Allegations have been made that 9th century government property worth about two and a half crore rupees was stolen with the connivance of government officials and employees of Naogaon.
It is alleged that the rent of that property has already been waived. Its truth has been found from two separate complaints in different offices including the District Commissioner.
The complainants are Sahana Haque, the granddaughter of late Sheikh Abdul Quddus, a resident of Naogaon town, and Sanjay Kumar Das, a resident of RG-Naogaon Mohalla. They claim that if these complaints are properly investigated, more sensational information of the land office will come out.
According to the complaint, the 5th century land of former fish market in Naogaon Mouja under the Sadar Union Land Office of Naogaon Sadar Upazila is listed as 'Hatkhala' as category No. 1. The government property worth about 2 crore taka was collected in the name of the deceased Sheikh Abdul Quddus in the name of private ownership and a rent of 5 thousand 835 taka was collected from the deceased's granddaughter Sahana Haque.
Complainant Sahana Haque said, after the death of grandfather Sheikh Abdul Quddus in 2012, I applied for the rejection of the property on the basis of the deed on the basis of inheritance. Due to the application Union Land Development Officer. Saleh Uddin and the then Assistant Commissioner (Land) Naharul Islam gave the order to dismiss the property. Despite the directives that no land class can be changed without the approval of the Ministry of Lands, the property mentions shop houses instead of huts. And the new holding was opened and the rent was collected on December 14, 2021.
Sahana Haque said that the dismissal order has been canceled without giving any notice to anyone through massive fraud. However, Union Land Development Officer Md. Saleh Uddin said, he admitted that by mistake, the order was given to dismiss the property under the government's No. 1 Khans Khatian.
There is a 27th century property worth around Tk 3 crores at Daffil/61 Moujar SA 126 RS 70, Khatianbhukta SA 22, RS 13 of Naogaon Sadar Upazila of Hapaniya. WHEREAS, the said 27th century property is listed in VP Case No. 884/1978 at page 9914 of page 9914 of Schedule 'A' of vested properties in Bangladesh Gazette, Additional, Schedule 'A' published on 8th April, 2012 and grant of lease in VP Case No. 884/78 has been At present it is in the possession of a lessee on behalf of the Government.
Property assigned to holding of Khatian No. 70 of the said property, information of grant of lease in VP case No. 884/78 and return assigned in Tribunal No. 609/12 case is pending in red ink. Besides, all activities of that holding have been closed for a long time.
Complainant Sanjay Kumar Das said that the published 'A' Gazette Bhukta VP lease case is ongoing. The property is in the possession of the government through the lessee and despite the closure of the related holding activities, the government has suffered loss by ordering the dismissal case number 2243/20-21 on October 13, 2021 in a completely illegal manner in exchange for a huge sum of money.
According to the documents attached to the complaint, the officials have rejected 4 percent of land out of total 27 in the name of Momtaz Hossain, a resident of Haat Naogaon, in the khatian no. The then Aceland Naharul Islam of the said Upazila Land Office gave the order. Currently, he is on duty as a land acquisition officer in Naogaon District Commissioner's office. Besides, the complainant Sanjay Kumar Das blamed the then surveyor Md. Mizanur Rahman and Union Land Assistant Officer of Hapania-Baktarpur Union Land Office Md. Nazim Uddin for illegal dismissal. When asked about the dismissal, Momtaz Hossain avoided the matter saying that he would inform later.
Union Land Assistant Officer of Hapania-Bakhtarpur Union Land Office Md. Nazim Uddin said that the government land was rejected through the proposal due to mistake. Little land is therefore not given much importance. However, he denied the allegation of receiving money in return.
When Mizanur Rahman, Surveyor of Upazila Land Office was contacted about this matter, he advised to contact Aceland and collect information.
Aceland Rafiqul Islam, who is currently working in Naogaon Sadar Upazila Land Office, admitted the truth of the complaint and said that the then official may have mistakenly ordered the dismissal. He also said that the written complaint of Sanjay Kumar Das was received recently. The dismissal will be cancelled. The appointing officer will investigate the complaint and take necessary action, he said.
Naogaon district Basad leader Zainal Abedin Mukul said that it will not be possible to stop the irregularities and corruption due to the lack of accountability and transparency of the land office officials and employees. He said that it will be possible to stop corruption by strengthening and strengthening the local government.
Naharul Islam, the then land acquisition officer of AC Land and now Naogaon District Commissioner's office, said, "I was working at AC Land office in Naogaon Sadar 8 months ago. Every day there are many hearings, many cases. After all this time, I don't remember or know about any such incident. I have not received any complaints.
