Over Thousand Patients Receive Free Medical Treatment and Medicine in Debidwar

In Debidwar, over 1,200 patients received free medical treatment and necessary medicine through a 'Free Medical Camp' organized by the Azgar Ali Munshi Foundation.
The day-long free health service camp was held yesterday, Sunday (June 22), at Khalilpur High School in the upazila.
Fifteen specialist doctors provided medical care for various ailments including ear, nose, and throat (ENT), gynecology, dermatology, venereal diseases, diabetes, kidney, heart, eye, and tuberculosis. The camp was established by the late Azgar Ali Munshi, father of former Debidwar Member of Parliament Alhaj Engineer Manjurul Ahsan Munshi. In addition to consultations, patients received free medical tests and medication. Furthermore, over five hundred people benefited from free blood grouping services.
The inauguration ceremony of the Free Medical Camp was presided over by Syed Farid Mir, former president of Fatehabad Union BNP, and moderated by Salauddin Ruhul, acting chairman of Fatehabad Union Parishad. Mr. Udbaul Bari Abu, President of Cumilla Metropolitan BNP, graced the event as the Chief Guest and officially inaugurated the camp. Barrister Rizviul Ahsan Munshi, former Joint General Secretary of Cumilla North District BNP, was present as a Special Guest.
The Chief Guest stated, "When the Awami League comes to power, they engage in looting, but when the BNP is in power, they serve the people. Whenever the BNP has been in power, the fate of the people has changed. I express my gratitude to all the martyrs and injured of the July uprising. The fascist Awami League has pursued a politics of plunder for 17 years. After the July uprising, everyone fled. This is a warning to the politics of looters." Earlier, at 2 PM, upon Udbaul Bari's arrival in the Debidwar area by road, he was escorted to former MP Engineer Manjurul Ahsan Munshi's residence in Gunai Ghar by a motorcade of hundreds of motorcycles, where Barrister Rizviul Ahsan Munshi greeted him with flowers.
Among others who spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the Free Medical Camp were Sufia Begum, President of Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal Cumilla (North) District and former Female Vice Chairman of Debidwar Upazila Parishad; BNP leaders Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Enamul Haque; former convener of Upazila Juba Dal Abdur Rahman; former convener Saiful Alam; and Mr. Md. Khairul Amin. Also present were Volunteer Dal leader Billal Hossain Billu, Student Dal leaders Md. Billal Hossain, Md. Saiful Islam Munshi; Syed Khalilur Rahman Babul, representative of Daily Samakal newspaper; VP Abdullah; Advocate Fazlul Kabir Emu, Joint Convener of Cumilla Metropolitan Juba Dal; Engineer Akbar Kabir, former Legal Affairs Secretary of Cumilla Metropolitan Juba Dal; Mamunur Rashid, Senior Vice President of Koko Smriti Sangsad Cumilla; Kazi Masud Rana, Joint Convener of Metropolitan Juba Dal; and Atiq Rubel, Senior Joint Convener of Metropolitan Volunteer Dal, among others.
