Woman snatcher arrested in Naogaon

Locals have arrested a woman snatcher and handed her over to the police for snatching Tk 360,000 from housewife Anjuara on her way home after withdrawing money from a bank in Sapahar, Naogaon district.

The incident took place at 4 pm on Tuesday, May 18 in Zero Point area of ​​Sapahar upazila. The arrested is Nasima (28), daughter of Bulu of Nazipur Sadar of Patnitala upazila.

According to the locals, the Zero Point area of ​​the upazila is always crowded. Taking advantage of this crowd, some organized women kidnapping gangs are causing such incidents. Twice before, the women of the kidnapping ring were caught and handed over to the police.

Anjuara, a housewife who was the victim of the robbery, said that after withdrawing Tk 360,000 from the Sapahar branch of Islami Bank this afternoon, she left for home. At that moment, while the kidnapper was trying to escape, I shouted at the thief and the crowd grabbed him.

Sapahar Police Station Investigation (OC) Al Mahmud said that after snatching money from Islami Bank in Zero Point area this afternoon and leaving for home, the snatcher snatched the bag from the housewife and fled.

He further said that the local people caught the kidnapping woman and handed her over to the police. At this time 3 lakh 39 thousand rupees were recovered. The official said that a case is being processed in this regard.
