4 members of inter-cattle thieves arrested in Pirojpur

Pirojpur police have arrested four members of an inter-district cattle thieves gang. They were arrested at noon on Thursday (September 18) from Hotel Islamia in Barisal Sadar. The arrested are Milon Hawlader, 33, son of Amulya Hawlader Kutty of Harindhara village in Kaukhali upazila of Pirojpur, Abul Basar, 35, son of late Nasim Uddin of Basabari area of ​​Bagerhat district and Majnu, son of Abul Alna Talukder of Rajoir village in Sharankhola upazila of Bagerhat. Rana Kha, son of Hafeez Kha of Nesharabad (Swarupkathi) upazila.

Police recovered an engine-driven trawler, hammer, sickle, knife, cutter, 4 large torch lights and used clothes from the detainees.

Pirojpur Sadar Police OC A. Ja. Md. Masuduzzaman said the arrested were members of an inter-district gang of thieves. They were stealing cows from different districts including Pirojpur. In addition to stealing cows, they are also involved in stealing shops and businesses in different areas.
