Worldwide Muslim Ummah celebrating holy month of Ramadan. In this month of self-restraint, worship and Siyam practice, religious Muslims dedicate themselves to attain the satisfaction of the great Allah, and on this occasion, the Iftar and Dua Mahfil of Bangladesh Nationalist Party Maldives branch was held. Iftar and Dua Mehfil was held yesterday in the hallroom of Maler Ahmadia School, the convener of the Maldives branch of the organization Md. Masum Munnar.

Starting through the Holy Quran recitation, Md. Khalilur Rahman, President of Maldives Branch BNP Mr. Md. Khalilur Rahman was present as special guest, General Secretary of Maldives BNP Md. Zahirul Islam, Party Member Secretary Md. Nurunnabi Manik and Joint Convener Md. Chief guest along with speakers at the Iftar Mahfil said in their speech that the Holy Quran has been revealed in this glorious month, which is a guide for mankind. To all expatriates residing in Maldives, they urge to maintain peace and order in abroad by avoiding violence and immorality. Also, request the expatriate brothers to contribute to the country's economy by sending remittance in legal way. On the pre-Iftar, party founder president Ziaur Rahman, Arafat Rahman conducted the special monajat wishing for forgiveness of Koko's soul and good health of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP acting chairman Tareq Rahman Mr.Mo: Al Amin, President of Madina Jamat Maldives branch.
