The district administration of Faridpur has distributed umbrellas, drinking water, food saline among the rickshaw pullers of Faridpur to protect them from the intense heat on the International Great May Day.

The reputation of Faridpur District Commissioner has spread in the face of people of all walks of life for this great initiative. At approximately 12 o'clock on Wednesday, District Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Md. handed over drinking water and food saline to the rickshaw drivers of Faridpur city. It is known from the sources that, on International Workers' Day, an initiative was taken to give rickshaw drivers one umbrella, fresh drinking water and two salines to deal with severe heatstroke. All the rickshaw pullers of Faridpur city are given these materials at the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the distribution of water, food and saline to bring relief to the common people of Faridpur city, pedestrians, rickshaw pullers and people of various professions in Janata Bank intersection, bus stand area in this intense heat. At least 200 people distributed 2 liters of fresh water and 2 meals of saline free of charge.

Kamrul Ahsan Taluktar said, We who work in government jobs work from the office, but those who earn their living as day laborers, laborers or rickshaw pullers are suffering terribly. Our initiative is thinking about them. Maybe they will be helpful to some extent.

He also said that in the heat of the day, one should drink more water, instead of driving the rickshaw continuously, it should be driven again after taking a break for some time. It will keep the body healthy.
