Meeting between the Vice President of Maldives and the Embassy of Bangladesh

Today, Hon'ble High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad paid a courtesy call on Hon'ble Vice President of Maldives Faisal Nasim at his office. During the meeting, the Vice President recalled the various assistance provided by Bangladesh during his tenure and the contribution of expatriate Bangladeshis in the development of Maldives. He also emphasized on further strengthening the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, enhancing trade relations and enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, medicine, tourism, etc. The Hon'ble High Commissioner requested for speedy legalization of undocumented Bangladeshi workers in the Maldives and opening up of the labor market. He expressed his determination to work for enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador at Large Abdul Gafur Mohammad and First Secretary of the Mission Md. Sohail Parvez and Third Secretary Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan were present on the occasion.
