Hijab-wearing student harassed in India

In India, the Dhaka Metropolitan Branch of Mahila Majlis has human chained a student wearing hijab in protest of harassment.
The human chain was held on the highway adjacent to Uttara Rajuk College at 12 noon today (February 10).
Bangladesh Islamic Mahila Majlis Dhaka Metropolitan President Suraiya Akhter Sumi presided over the human chain.
Speaking on the occasion, Suraiya Akhter Sumi, President of Mahila Majlis Dhaka Metropolitan said, "Hijab is our right, hijab is a symbol of dignity of Muslim women. We want to wear this hijab."
If there is a conspiracy against hijab anywhere in the world, we will protest against it inshaAllah.
At the end of the human chain, a rally was held with the protesters holding festoons.
The rally ended with a short rally encircling the city's main thoroughfares.
