Babul of Naogaon did not return home after selling rice seedlings!

A cyclist was tragically killed in a head-on collision at Manda in Naogaon district.

The accident took place at Nilkuthi junction of Naogaon-Rajshahi highway around 9 am on Thursday, February 10.

The deceased was identified as Babul Hossain, 42, of Matgari village under Prasadpur union of Manda upazila.

According to police and eyewitnesses, Babul Hossain was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a speeding vehicle coming from the direction of the ferry. He fell on the paved road and was seriously injured. When he was rescued and taken to Manda Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Omar Ali, the father of the deceased, said that his son Babul Hossain Boro was going to Satihat on a bicycle to sell rice seedlings. He died in an accident at the place mentioned on the way.

Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinur Rahman said the deceased Babul Hossain and the killer Bhatvati have been taken into custody. At the end of the legal process, his body will be handed over to the family. Legal action will be taken against the driver.
