Olama-Mashaekh Conference Organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Held in Debidwar

An Olama (Scholars) Conference was held in the Upazila Parishad Hall Room in Debidwar Upazila, Cumilla District, on Saturday. The conference was organized by the Olama Division of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and presided over by Maulana Abdur Rashid Pir Saheb.
Conducted by Maulana Ruhul Amin Sarkar, Secretary of the Upazila Olama Division, the conference featured renowned religious scholar Dr. Mufti Abul Kalam Azad Bashar as the chief guest.
Special guests included: Janoneta Saiful Islam Shahid, former Upazila Vice Chairman, Secretary of Cumilla North District Jamaat, and Jamaat-nominated prospective Member of Parliament (MP) candidate for Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency; Professor Lokman Hakim Bhuiyan, Assistant Secretary of District Jamaat; Mufti Aminul Islam; Maulana Mizanur Rahman, District Executive Council Member; Professor Shahidul Islam, Ameer of Debidwar Upazila Jamaat; Ferdaus Ahmed, Ameer of Poura (Municipal) Jamaat; Mufti Mohiuddin; Abu Yusuf, Principal of Rajamehar Fazil Madrasah; Maulana Nazrul Islam, Former Principal of Sidlai Fazil Madrasah; Maulana Shafiqul Islam, Principal of Wahedpur Alim Madrasah; Professor Ruhul Amin Khan, Secretary of Upazila Jamaat; Sheikh Mohammad Shahidullah, Executive Council Member of Upazila Jamaat; Maulana Mohiuddin, Principal of Mohammadpur Alim Madrasah; and Maulana Tajul Islam, Khatib of Baro Shalghar Central Jame Mosque, among others.
In their speeches, the leaders stated that the Olama-e-Keram (revered scholars) are the best sons of the nation. They noted that the Olama-e-Keram have been the most persecuted in the past. They emphasized that in the future, for the needs of the country and the nation, the Olama-e-Keram must play a historic role by uniting everyone to build a society based on justice and fairness.
