Brutal Attack on Bangladeshi Businessman Jahangir Alam Shahed by Peruvian Gang in Rome; Call for Security for Bangladeshis

A Bangladeshi businessman and former President of the Rome Banker Business Association, Jahangir Alam Shahed, was brutally attacked by a group of Peruvian assailants on Via Tuscolana in Rome. The attack took place on Friday around 11 p.m. local time, in front of "Khokon's Bangla Bar" in Tuscolana.
Shahed was severely injured after being stabbed with a sharp weapon. The administration quickly arrived at the scene and rushed him to the hospital. Doctors have reported that his condition is critical.
The Italian Carabinieri force promptly arrived at the scene, initiated an investigation, and intensified patrols in the area. Police are reportedly conducting an operation to apprehend the attackers.
Local Bangladeshi expatriates state, "The safety of Bangladeshi expatriates in Italy has become a matter of deep concern."
Note: Attacks on expatriates have increased recently in Rome and other cities. The local administration has assured that they will ensure the security of expatriate Bengalis.
