Bhanga's People-Friendly Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Md. Mizanur Rahman

Md. Mizanur Rahman, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Bhanga, Faridpur, is an active and people-friendly officer. Since his joining on November 7, 2024, the situation in Bhanga Upazila has transformed. No distressed person who has sought his help has returned empty-handed. In this short time, he has become popular among all sections of people in Bhanga. With his intellect and efficiency, he has already earned a widespread reputation as a people-friendly UNO in Bhanga Upazila. In a word, the landscape of Bhanga Upazila has changed. Work processes have become dynamic. Harassment and suffering for service seekers have ceased. The overall law and order situation in Bhanga Upazila has also improved significantly. He has overseen extensive development of the roads in Bhanga Bazarpara and Townpara.

Md. Mizanur Rahman has emphasized football and cricket to bring the youth of Bhanga back to the playing fields. Several notable tournaments have already been held under his leadership. For this, he has also gained a good reputation as a sports enthusiast. To keep the youth away from drugs and focused on their studies, he has patronized programs involving students, such as songs, poetry, chess, painting, and football tournaments. He is widely known in Bhanga as a dedicated servant to the poor, helpless, and distressed. Local residents say that no one who goes to the Upazila office for government aid, assistance, or to report problems is ever turned away disappointed. Md. Mizanur Rahman has already earned a wide reputation as a people-friendly Upazila Nirbahi Officer in Bhanga Upazila through his intelligence and work efficiency.

Maju Khatun (60), an elderly service recipient, said, "May Allah keep this Sir alive for a thousand years; he is very good. He gave me a bundle of tin. I have never received such help before. I pray that Allah keeps this Sir alive for a thousand years. I ask the government to keep this Sir in our Bhanga."

Talking to the Freedom Fighter Commander of Algi Union, Bir Muktijoddha Md. Anwar Hossain Molla, he said, "Many UNO Sirs have come and gone in our Bhanga, but in my experience, Mr. Mizanur Rahman is an exception. He always shows great respect for the brave freedom fighters, the best children of the nation, and keeps in touch with us. He stands by the poor and helpless. In a word, this UNO Sir is an exceptionally good-hearted person. I wish him all the best."

When contacted about the matter, Bhanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman said, "I took this job to serve the people. I will try my best to provide whatever service is required from my side, Insha'Allah."
