Beef at 1 Taka Per KG to be Delivered to the Homes of the Helpless Today

Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Faridpur District Correspondent:

Mufti Raihan Jamil, the independent prospective Member of Parliament (MP) candidate for the Faridpur-4 constituency, has taken a unique humanitarian initiative for the helpless and low-income people of the area.

Today, Thursday (October 30), he will sell beef at a symbolic price of only 1 Taka per kilogram in Bhanga Upazila, Faridpur, starting at 3 p.m.

Under this program, beef will initially be sold at a symbolic price to 100 families. The meat will be distributed to poor residents, going from home to home in various locations, starting from the Pukhuria area of Bhanga Upazila.

Regarding this humanitarian initiative, Mufti Raihan Jamil said, "The price of beef has currently increased so much that it has become nearly impossible for poor people to afford meat except during the time of Eid-ul-Adha. That is why I have taken this initiative to sell beef at just one Taka per kilogram to stand by the low-income people of the society. Insha'Allah, such programs will continue in the future."

He added, "It is not just about the 10 Taka Hilsa; I have been supporting people through various service-oriented activities for a long time. I have always tried to stand by the helpless through countless initiatives, including selling rice at 2 Taka per kg, eggs at 10 Taka per four pieces, providing employment for beggars, free computer training, free sewing training, and free vehicle service for expectant mothers."

"My service-oriented work is never intended for votes or to go viral; rather, my only goal is to gain the pleasure of Allah and bring a smile to the faces of the poor and helpless. Insha'Allah, these activities will continue in the future. We admit that there were some flaws in our management during the 10 Taka Hilsa sale. Learning from that mistake, this time, Insha'Allah, we will sell 1 Taka per kg beef by going to the homes of the poor and helpless in a much more orderly and beautiful manner. I seek everyone's prayers for success."
