Jashim Uddin Opel Announces Candidacy for MP in Chattogram-5 Constituency

Jashim Uddin Opel, Joint Coordinator of the Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (NCP) for Chattogram Metropolitan, has formally announced his decision to run as a candidate for Member of Parliament (MP) in the upcoming National Parliamentary Elections from the Chattogram-5 (Hathazari) constituency.
Jashim Uddin Opel stated, "I have always considered public service as the main goal of my life. I want to work for people's rights, development, and social justice. If everything is favorable and Almighty Allah helps, then Insha'Allah, I plan to contest the National Parliamentary Elections scheduled for February 2026 from the Chattogram-5 constituency."
He further added, "Chattogram is an area full of potential. There is still much to be done for the development of its people, including in education, employment, healthcare, and infrastructure. I believe that politics is for the welfare of the people, not for personal gain. Earning the trust of the people is my main objective."
Jashim Uddin Opel, who has been active in party politics for a long time, is involved in various local social and humanitarian activities. His role has been particularly praised for increasing political awareness among the younger generation and for his community service initiatives.
His candidacy has already generated discussion in the local political arena. Many believe that as a young leader, Opel can add a new dimension to politics with a fresh perspective and a message of positive change.
Jashim Uddin Opel expressed his optimism, saying, "I view politics as a platform for serving the people. If I receive the prayers and support of the people, I will work to transform the Chattogram-5 constituency into a modern, developed, and prosperous area."
