Inauguration of a Wooden Bridge in Cumilla's Debidwar, Funded by Jamaat-e-Islami

In Debidwar, Cumilla, a wooden bridge was officially inaugurated to alleviate the public suffering at the entrance of Jinnatpur Jamadar Bari in Subil Union No. 4. The inauguration was performed by Md. Saiful Islam Shahid, a former Upazila Vice Chairman and the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate for the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) parliamentary constituency. The ceremony, which included a ribbon-cutting, took place on Tuesday, September 2, at 10 a.m.

Also present at the event were:

 * Professor Ruhul Amin Khan, Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Debidwar Upazila.

 * Maulana Md. Tajul Islam, Jamaat-nominated chairman candidate for Subil Union.

 * Kazi Md. Hasan, Jamaat-nominated chairman candidate for Rasulpur Union.

 * Alhaj Faruk Ahmed Molla, a prominent businessman, social worker, and General Secretary of the Wahedpur Social Welfare Council.

 * Mr. Nurunnabi, and other local dignitaries.

In his inaugural speech, Md. Saiful Islam Shahid stated, "Jamaat-e-Islami always works for the welfare of people during any crisis. In the past, whenever we noticed a problem, we tried to solve it with the help of the local community. This small effort is part of that ongoing commitment to ease the hardship for the 15 families of this area. Our true goal is to serve humanity, as it is the path to gaining the satisfaction of Allah. I seek your prayers and support in the upcoming national parliamentary elections."
