 Police have arrested two people in connection with the theft of mobile phones of Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo and Samsung companies from the showroom of Mahbub Traders, a mobile dealer in Jahanara Plaza Market, Zero Point area of ​​Jaipurhat city. In this incident, 195 valuable smartphones worth Tk 60 lakh and Tk 1 lakh 70 thousand were recovered. Joypurhat Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdul Wahab gave this information in a press briefing at his conference room at 12 noon on Friday.

The arrested are Kabir Hossain, son of Rabbi of Tomtom Bridge area of ​​Comilla and Mohammad Ripon, son of deceased Quddus Ali of Ganganagar village of Devidar Upazila.

Superintendent of Police said that on Thursday morning, a group of thieves cut the lock of the main gate of Jahanara Plaza Market at Zero Point in Joypurhat city. Mahbub then cut several locks of Traders' mobile showroom and stole the valuable smartphone. On receiving the information, the police arrested a person named Kabir. After that, according to the information given by him, 195 mobile phones were recovered from Panchmatha area of ​​Panchbibi including Ripon. The Superintendent of Police also said that efforts are being made to arrest other members of this gang.
