BGB arrested 4 people while illegally traveling to India in Pirganj

BGB (Bangladesh Border Guard) arrested 4 people including three motorcycles while illegally entering India through Thakurgaon border. The incident took place on the border of Danajpur of Pirganj upazila of the district on Monday afternoon. The arrested are Jiban Roy son of Prafulla Roy of Dastampur village of Pirganj upazila, Shubo son of Harmohan Roy of Horsua village, Haridas Chandra son of Naresh of Kangsara Ruhigaon village of Bochaganj police station of Dinajpur district and Padan Chandra Roy son of Dilip of Krishnapur village of the same police station. A case has been registered against them at Pirganj police station.
Habildar Rezaul, in charge of Danajpur BOP camp, said that in the afternoon, around 100 people gathered to go to India illegally through the 3S pillar area of 340 of Danajpur border. BGB chased them after getting the news. BGB arrested Charaj along with the mastermind of the incident while running away. At this time 3 motorcycles were seized. Later they were brought to Danajpur camp. A case has been filed against the 4 people arrested in the evening at Pirganj police station and they have been handed over to the police.
Dinajpur 42 BGB captain Lt. Col. Ahsan ul Islam PSC admitted the truth of the incident and said that the BGB conducted the operation after receiving information about the gathering of people to illegally go to India. 4 persons including 3 motorcycles were arrested.
