Burglary at school in Pirganj

In Pirganj of Thakurgaon, there was an incident of theft of electric pump along with documents by breaking the lock of the school room. The theft happened at Begungaon Lower Secondary Girls School in the upazila on Friday night.

Jalar Begungaon Lower Secondary Girls School Headmaster Alauddin said that on Thursday afternoon they went home after locking the office room and other rooms of the school. On Saturday morning, local people came to know that two rooms, including the school office, were locked and stolen. Later, he and other teachers came and saw that the thieves broke the lock of the office room and stole important documents and an electric pump kept on the table. At that time, the thieves broke the locks of the drawers of the cupboard and the table and ransacked other documents. In this incident, the head teacher Alauddin Badi filed a written complaint at the police station on Saturday.

Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj police station, said that a complaint about theft was received in the school. Action will be taken after investigation.
