Various events on the occasion of Sheikh Kamal's birthday in Faridpur

In Faridpur, various arrangements were made to celebrate the 74th birth anniversary of the martyred captain brave freedom fighter Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Among them, wreath laying on the portrait of Sheikh Kamal, commemoration on his biography, discussion meeting and reciting the Holy Quran 40 times asking for forgiveness of the soul.

On Saturday (August 5) at 9 am, floral arrangements were made on Sheikh Kamal's portrait by the district administration. District administration, police administration, municipality and various government and private offices and school-college students paid tributes with flowers.

Later, a discussion meeting was organized in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.

Deputy Commissioner Md participated in the discussion under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Yashin Kabir. Kamrul Ahsan Talukder PAA, Superintendent of Police. Shahjahan, mayor Amitabh Bose, senior educationist Professor Md. Shahjahan, president of the chamber. Nazrul Islam, Narcotics Control Directorate Deputy Director Shamim Hossain.

Hero freedom fighter Nazrul Islam, women leader Asma Akhter Mukta and others were present in the ceremony.

On the occasion of the day, 40 recitations of the Holy Quran, discussion meetings, prayer meetings, tree sapling distribution, food distribution among the poor and sports competitions were organized.

Prayers were offered for the welfare of Shaheed Sheikh Kamal, all the brave freedom fighters and the country at Chawkbazar Jame Masjid of after Johar Faridpur.
