The victim, Sheikh Faiz Ahmed, candidate for president of Faridpur Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., has filed a complaint to the head office of the Anti-Corruption Commission for taking legal action against him for harassing the co-operatives by revealing the alleged investigation report during the election of a cooperative organization in an unethical manner. .

According to sources in the complaint, the complainant said that all activities of the bank have been conducted in accordance with the decision of the management committee of the bank, the approval of the annual general meeting and the by-laws of the bank and all the annual audit reports have been completed by the cooperative department. After receiving the responsibility of section 49 (e) investigation, the said officer benefited from the ill-will of an influential non-cooperative group to obstruct the election process for the post of the bank president, and after a long time broke the rules and did not complete the investigation on time, suddenly in the month of April/2023 for personal interest. During the election schedule/2023 of Cooperative Bank overnight through backdate, the said investigation report was illegally spread in my opposition quarters and social media in Faridpur. He mentioned that deposits and other money have not been deposited in the funds of the association (bank). This information is completely false and baseless. The said officer disguised himself as an honest officer and offered to pay the investigation cost of Rs. He became enraged on non-response to his proposal and filed a baseless investigation report alleging that Rs. Which is completely false and motivated.

The complainant said that the said official has defamed the cooperative department and co-operatives by making the report out of anger for harassing our society. He hopes the ACC will investigate impartially and take legal action.

In this regard, the present president of Faridpur Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. Enayet Hossain Liton said that the allegation that Tk 85 lakh was not deposited in the bank against the former chairman in the investigation report is completely false. We have informed the Directorate of Cooperatives in writing about the matter. I demand the punishment of the officer for adding false information.
