Thakurgaon District Commissioner office vandalized, SI injured

A young man named Nasir Uddin attacked and vandalized the office of the District Commissioner in Thakurgaon. On Saturday (July 8) at 8:30 in the morning, the young man entered the office by breaking the lock of the Kechi gate.

It is known that Nasir Uddin broke the Thai glass and doors of 31 windows of 10 rooms with a shovel. Thakurgao Sadar police station sub-inspector (SI) Mamunur Rashid was injured in the incident. However, the police managed to arrest the assailant youth Nasir Uddin.

Deputy Commissioner's security guard Harkant Roy confirmed the attack. He said, in the morning, a person dressed in Punjabi broke the lock of the district administrator's office with a shovel. Later they started breaking the Thai glass of the windows of the rooms one by one. In just ten minutes, he broke the windows of at least 10 rooms, including the district administrator's room, meeting room, freedom fighter's corner, reception, additional district administrator's room, administrative officer's room. At the same time Nezarat vandalized the printer machine and chair. There was no stopping him.

Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Mahabubur Rahman said, it has been a very bad thing. We are taking legal action in this regard. I am investigating who was in charge at that time, what was their role.

Superintendent of Police Jahangir Hossain said that one person has been arrested in this incident. One of our police officers was injured. The matter is being investigated. Details will be reported after investigation.
