Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Announces Committee for Bhanga Municipal Branch

With the slogan "Khilafat for all, regardless of religion or opinion," the Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis held a council meeting for its Bhanga municipal branch in preparation for the upcoming national parliamentary election.

The committee for the municipal branch was announced on Wednesday afternoon at the organization's Bhanga upazila branch office in Faridpur district.

Leaders and activists from all nine wards of the Bhanga municipality participated in the council to strengthen the activities of the Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis and build a more robust mass movement.

During the event, Mufti Abu Nasir Ayubi, General Secretary of the district branch, announced a partial committee for the Bhanga municipal branch.

With the unanimous consent of all present, Hafez Qari Nur Mohammad Bachchu Molla was elected as President, and Hafez Mahmudul Hasan was elected as General Secretary.

The meeting was presided over by Maulana Hafizur Rahman, President of the Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Bhanga Upazila branch. The chief guest was Maulana Mizanur Rahman Molla, Vice-President of the district branch and the nominated parliamentary candidate for the Faridpur-4 (Bhanga, Sadarpur, Charbhadrasan) constituency.

Hafez Waliullah, General Secretary of the Bhanga Upazila branch, moderated the event, with Mufti Abu Nasir Ayubi, General Secretary of the district branch, as the main discussant.

Special guests included Maulana Sobhan Mahmud, Senior Vice-President of the district branch; Manna Abu Bakar Siddique, Vice-President; and Maulana Ashraf Ali, District Executive Member.

Also in attendance were Hafez Maulana Abul Khair Selim, Advisor of the Bhanga Upazila Khilafat Majlis; Maulana Hafizur Rahman, President; Hafez Waliullah, General Secretary; Hafez Maulana Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Finance Secretary; Hafez Maulana Md. Mahbubul Haque, Vice-President; Hafez Md. Liaqat Hossain, Assistant General Secretary; Mufti Shawkat Ali, Organizing Secretary; Maulana Mohiuddin, Algi Union President and Assistant Organizing Secretary; Mufti Waliullah, Gharua Union General Secretary; Md. Zahidul Islam, Tujarpar Union President, and journalists from print and electronic media.

The speakers said, "Through public outreach in various places, we have realized that in the upcoming election, voters want to see an Islamic face and an Islamic party this time. To create a peaceful environment in our country and establish Islam, we must establish Khilafat. There is no alternative." They urged the leaders and activists to reach out to voters to ensure the victory of the party's rickshaw symbol.
