Attack on UNO in Faridpur; Arrest-4

Madhukhali Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Faridpur. Police have arrested four persons including the UP Chairman in connection with the attack on Ashikur Rahman Chowdhury.

The arrested were sent to the Faridpur court on Friday (May 5) afternoon.

It is known that two separate cases have been filed in connection with the attack and vandalism of the government vehicle. In this case, local UP chairman Shah Md. Four people including Asaduzzaman have been arrested.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Madhukhali police station. Shahidul Islam told reporters, Madhukhali Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Sir Md. In connection with the attack on Ashikur Rahman Chowdhury, Sub-Inspector (SI) Prabir Kumar and UNO driver Suman Sheikh have filed a case against 27 people and 250 others who have not been named as defendants. In this incident, four people were arrested in a raid on Thursday night. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused.

It is to be noted that on Thursday afternoon, Executive Officer (UNO) Md. went to inspect the shelter project construction work in Nishintpur Charpara area of Dumain Union of Madhukhali Upazila of the district. Ashiqur Rahman Chowdhury.

Then the locals obstructed the construction of the shelter project at that place and at one stage attacked the UNO with sticks. UNO's official vehicle was also vandalized. In addition to the UNO, six people, including an Ansar member, an office assistant and a car driver, were injured in the attack.
