Embassy Gold Cup football tournament starts tomorrow from November 6: 16 teams will play in four groups

On the occasion of the Embassy Gold Cup Football Tournament 2022, a discussion meeting organized by the Bangladesh Sports Association Italy was held in the hall of a local restaurant in the capital Rome. The meeting was chaired by the president of the organization, Haji Md. Jasimuddin, and the general secretary of the organization, Abdur Rashid, and the director, Sazzadul Kabir, conducted the meeting. Embassy First Secretary Asif Enam Siddiqui was present as the chief guest.

In the meeting, if the players present their opinion on the important issues of various rules, the organizers will settle it by consensus. The organizers said that they are committed to present an acceptable and lively tournament. There is no alternative to sports to make the youth mentally healthy and strong.

Senior Vice President Abu Taher, Chief Selector Shahadat Hossain Roni, Vice President Mahmudul Hasan, Mozammel Hossain Molla, Arifuzzaman Rimon, Al Mahmud Rafiq, Abdul Majeed Babul, Joint General Secretary Mizanul Haque Mizu, Arman Uddin Swapan, Organizing Secretary were also present this time. Muhib Hasan, Publicity Secretary Robin Khan along with representatives of various parties. Besides, among the leaders of social and regional organizations, Feroz Khan, Deen Mohammad, Roni Ahmed, Jahangir Alam and many others were present.

This time teams are distributed through lottery. 16 teams will participate in the tournament, divided into four groups.

The inaugural match will be held tomorrow, November 6, with the participation of Venice Bangladesh Sports Association and Bahadurpur Spotting Club. Bangladesh Embassy will be in full support of the event.
