A woman died after being hit by a train in Ruhia police station of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila.
Ruhia Thana police recovered the body on Saturday afternoon from the line adjacent to Saleha Madrasa graveyard, about 2 kilometers away from Ruhia railway station.
The deceased woman Hajera Begum is said to be the wife of Taimur Rahman of Bamun Kumar village of Atwari upazila of Panchagarh district.

According to local sources, on Saturday morning, the last Kanchan Express train from Ruhia railway station to Panchagarh passed through that line and Hajera Begum walked over the line from the other side and fell in front of the train on her way to Ruhia.
Shafiqul Islam, a local UP member, said, "After hearing the news that a woman named Hajera Begum was killed after being hit by a train, I came to the spot and informed the police."
