Human chain of Islamic student movement protesting harassment of students in Dhaka University for veiling

A protest human chain was organized by Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh Dhaka University branch to protest against the harassment and absenteeism of students of Bangla Department of Dhaka University due to veiling.Central university secretary Mahbub Hossain Manik was present as the chief guest in this protest human chain under the chairmanship of branch president Yasin Arafat and training secretary Hasibul Islam at 12 noon on Sunday (September 18) at TSC premises.
He said, no authority can have the authority to violate the rules of religious observance i.e. veiling in the campus. It cannot be that religion cannot be practiced in the highest universities of the country. The campus is open to expression and ideals, regardless of whether or not our constitution guarantees it.
But it is not acceptable that my sister will appear absent in the viva because the viva board is screened on a lame excuse. We strongly protest and condemn it.
Provision of visual biometric system to identify a student instead of just relying on appearance, provision of identification through teachers for veiled students if necessary.
President's speech Yasin Arafat said that immediately, arrangements should be made to protect the veils of the students of the Bangla Department of DU.
Curbing the religious rights of hijab wearers and discriminating against them must stop, and these misdeeds must be criminalized and punished.
Abu Bakar Siddique, Publicity Secretary of DU Branch, Muhammad Ali, Finance Secretary, and other leaders from various walks of life were also present in the event.
