Tragic death of SSC examinee after being hit by a microbus in Naogaon

Siam Ahmed, an SSC examinee, was killed when he was hit by a microbus on his way home from a picnic in Sapahar, Naogaon district.

He died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Friday morning. Son of Golam Azam of Baikanthapur village in Patari union of Siam upazila. He was an SSC candidate from Sapahar Al Helal Islamic Academy.

According to local sources, three friends, including Siam Ahmed, were returning home on a motorcycle from Dighirhat in the upazila around 5:30 pm on Thursday. Siam was riding the motorcycle. Two friends fell down the road and Siam fell on the road when it collided with a microbus coming from the opposite direction.

At that time, the wheel of the microbus went over Siam's head. When the locals rescued them and took them to Sapahar Upazila Health Complex, the two were given first aid. As his condition was critical, he was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Siam died on Friday morning while undergoing treatment there.

Sapahar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Al Mahmood said there was no complaint from the victim's family. The body will be handed over to the family at the end of the legal process.
