The carpenter died after falling into a pond in Naogaon

A carpenter named Roni Hossain (32) died after falling into the deep water in Raninagar of Naogaon district. The incident took place at Babystand area of ​​Abadpukur Bazar in the upazila on Thursday (June 30) morning. The deceased was identified as Gafur of Khatteshwar Sahapara village under Roni upazila.

Nadira Begum, wife of the deceased, said her husband Ronnie was a carpenter by profession. He used to work in a furniture shop in Babystand area of ​​Abadpukur Bazar of the upazila. Every Saturday of the week he would go from home to work in the store and would come home on Thursdays. Ronnie had been suffering from epilepsy for a long time.

On Thursday morning (June 30), Ronnie fell into epilepsy when he went to urinate on a bank near work. After not returning to the store for a long time, his colleagues went to look for him and found Ronnie drowning. At that time, his colleagues and local people rescued him and took him to the doctor of the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty declared Rony dead.

Confirming the incident, Raninagar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad said a case of unnatural death (UD) has been filed with the police station as there was no complaint from the victim's family.
