Tragic death of five teachers when a truck hit them in Naogaon

Five teachers were tragically killed in a truck accident at Bablatali in Naogaon Sadar.

The tragic road accident took place near Bablatli Balihar College on the Naogaon-Rajshahi highway at 8:30 am on Friday, June 24. Upon receiving the news, two units of the fire service are conducting rescue work.

Naogaon Sadar Police Station SI Krishna, who went to the spot, said the accident took place around 8:30 am on Friday. Initially, it was learned that five of the victims were school teachers of Niamatpur upazila. One of them was a woman and four were men. However, their details were not known.

The CNG autorickshaw was going from Naogaon to Rajshahi, and the truck loaded with poultry food was coming from the opposite direction. When a tractor passed by on the spot, the CNGT was crushed by the truck coming from the opposite direction. This resulted in the tragic death of five teachers.

Naogaon Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazrul Islam said five bodies have been recovered so far. The death toll could rise. Police have been dispatched to the spot.
