The President of Maldives Branch Awami League Alhaj Dulal Madbar was present as the Chief Guest.
In his speech, the chief guest said that the name of Awami League has been actively involved in the history of Bengalis' rights and the struggle for establishment of Bangladesh.
In his speech, the special guest said that Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Padma Bridge on June 25, which is a great contribution in the history of Bangladesh and a special gift of 63 years of struggle and success of Bangladesh Awami League.

The grassroots political party Bangladesh Awami League is united today to build the golden Bangladesh of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by tackling the long conspiracy. He called upon all the leaders and workers to work in a united manner ahead of the forthcoming elections with the aim of building a happy and prosperous country under the leadership of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina by tackling all conspiracies.
On this day in 1949, King Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the leader and guide of the history of the Bengali nation, founded the Bangladesh Awami Muslim League, which was later renamed as Bangladesh Awami.
Also present at the meeting were senior leaders of Maldives Awami League, NBL Money Transfer Maldives Branch Officers, leaders of Maldivian Expatriate Social Workers Association, leaders of Maldives Bandu Mahal and senior co-president of Maldives Awami League Haji Mog. Secretary Md. Anisur Rahman, all the supporters and leaders of Maldives Branch Awami League and its affiliated organizations, expatriate professionals, expatriate journalists and many others were present on the occasion.
