Thakurgaon also celebrated the founding anniversary of Awami League in Pirganj

 On the occasion of the 63rd founding anniversary of Awami League, national and party flags were hoisted at Pirganj in Thakurgaon in the morning and tributes were paid to Bangabandhu mural. A colorful rally was taken out from the temporary office of Upazila Awami League at 4 pm. The rally went around the city and ended at the party office. Leaders and workers of Awami League, Women's Awami League, Juba League, Swechchhasebak League, Krishka League and Chhatra League took part in it.

 Earlier, a discussion meeting and prayer meeting was held at the party office. Upazila Awami League president and former MP Imdadul Haque, general secretary Rezwanul Haque Biplob, co-president Shamimuzzaman Jewel, former municipal mayor Kashirul Alam, upazila Awami League co-general secretary Iftekharul Haque Dhrab and organizing secretary Khorshed Alam Mollah, among others, addressed the discussion. Later the cake was cut to celebrate the founding anniversary.
