Body of housewife recovered in Naogaon; three arrested

Police have recovered the body of a housewife named Fatema (25) from Porsha in Naogaon district. The body was recovered from Dighipara Shahapukur village in Tentulia union of the upazila on Sunday noon.

On the same morning, Fatima's husband Akbar Ali's son Mostafizur Rahman (40) is believed to have strangled her.

Husband of the slain housewife Mostafizur Rahman, father-in-law Akbar Ali and mother-in-law Julekha Begum have been taken into police custody for questioning.

According to local sources, the husband of the slain housewife had been staying in Dhaka for the last four years. He came home from Dhaka on the morning of the incident. Then their idea that the incident happened. They also said that no one was at home at that time. He said Fatima had a 6-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.

 

Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahurul Haque confirmed the incident and said the body was recovered for autopsy. He further said that Fatima's husband Mostafizur Rahman has been arrested and her father-in-law and mother-in-law have been taken into police custody for questioning. He said a case was being prepared in this regard.
