Asha has been elected as the organizing secretary of Joypurhat district women's Awami League

Former Sechchasebak League leader and media worker Ayesha Siddique Asha has been elected as the organizing secretary of the district committee of Joypurhat Mahila Awami League.

Joypurhat district Mahila Awami League president Shammim Aziz Saj and general secretary Sabina Chowdhury received copies of district committee approval signed by Bangladesh Mahila Awami League central committee president Alhaj Safia Khatun and general secretary Mahmuda Begum on Thursday (May 26).

The last conference of Joypurhat district branch of Mahila Awami League was held on 4 October 2021 at District Shilpakala Academy. There, through the council, the central leaders announced the names of district committee president Shammim Aziz Saj and general secretary Sabina Chowdhury and directed them to form a full committee. Following this, the list was sent to the center along with the district president and general secretary. The central committee has approved the 92-member district committee. Ayesha Siddique Asha has been elected as the organizing secretary of the newly approved district committee.

He holds Honors from National University, Masters Degree from Carmichael College, Rangpur. He has been following the ideals of Bangabandhu since his childhood and has been working as a BCL activist since his student life. He got the post of primary member of Bangladesh Awami League on 18/11/2021. Then he acted as the publicity and publication secretary of Awami League, 5th ward of Joypurhat municipality. After that he became the secretary of women's affairs of Joypurhat district committee of Awami Sechchasebak League.

In addition to politics, he has been working as the Joypurhat district correspondent of the national English daily "The Voyage of Asia" and the daily Ei Bangla.

Her husband Rezaul Karim Reza is the General Secretary of Ward No. 5 of Joypurhat Municipal Awami League. She has been serving for the last one decade.

During his tenure in 2013, he was accused in a case of burning BNP office in Joypurhat district following a series of petrol bomb and sabotage attacks across the country. On the other hand, the plaintiff has become a witness in the case of burning the Joypurhat district Awami League office.

He is also working in important print and electronic media of the country besides politics. He is leading a journalist organization in Joypurhat.

Ayesha Siddiqui has a 5 year old son in her personal life.

In this regard, Ayesha Siddique Asha said, "No government like ours has worked for the self-reliance and empowerment of women." So I was, am and always will be with the party to take the work of the government further. I am grateful to Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the central and district leaders for giving me a place in the new committee and for giving me the opportunity to work.
