Young man arrested in rape case

Police have arrested a young man for raping a seventh grader and getting pregnant in Badalgachhi of Naogaon district.

The arrested is Kajal Hossain, 28, son of late Shamser Ali of Chakabir village in Bilashbari union of Badalgachhi upazila.

Earlier, the mother of the victim filed a case against Kajal at Badalgachhi police station on Wednesday night, February 23. Badalgachhi police have arrested Md Kajal, accused in the case.

Family and police sources said that the victim's house was in the village of the accused rapist in Badalgachhi upazila. She is a seventh grader at a local school. And Kajal is a close relative of the victim. On that occasion he used to travel to their house. At one stage, Kajal raped the innocent girl by showing various fears and greed.

At one point during the interrogation, when the girl's physical condition changed and her movements seemed abnormal, she said everything openly. After examination at Green Lab Diagnostic Center in Naogaon Sadar, the girl was found to be five months pregnant.

The girl's mother said, "My daughter is studying in class seven." He is a small man. He has defeated my daughter by showing her various fears and temptations. Now I have filed a case against Kajal for exemplary punishment.

Talking to the raped girl, she said in a tearful voice, "Kajal has raped me several times by showing various fears."

Talking to the accused Kajal's mother, she said, "My son has never heard of the rape of that girl and he has not said so far." He is survived by his wife and a son.

My son Kajal works as a boy in a hotel in Munsur at the corner of Naogaon Ruby. Suddenly the police caught my son and we found out. My son did not do this.

Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Badalgachhi Police Station Mohammad Raihan Hossain said a case has been registered in this regard. Case No. 50, dated 23.02.22 Eng. Accused Md. Kajal was arrested from a hotel in Naogaon Sadar. He has been handed over to the court.

 The victim has been sent to Naogaon Medical College Hospital for medical examination.
