Police have arrested five accused in separate raids in Atrai of Naogaon district. The detainees were sent to Naogaon Jail on Saturday morning, February 25, with a case under the Narcotics Control Act.

According to the case sources, SI Haider, SI Mosharraf and SI Pradeep along with allied forces conducted separate operations in different places of the upazila on Friday night on the basis of secret information.

Alam, 38, son of Rabiul Islam of Biharipur village, Anwar Hossain, 32, son of Mohammad Ali Bhola of Bhabanipur village, AH Salam, 40, son of Ahad Ali of Beola village and Abu Taher Eltu, 38, son of Nazimuddin Sardar of the same village were also found in possession of 5 grams of cannabis. ), Arrested Bachchu Mahaldar (38), son of Mohammad Mahaldar of Digha village.

Atrai Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad said three separate raids were carried out on Friday night. Five people were arrested with cannabis and heroin.
