Fake detective arrested from Nanupur Obaidia Madrasa in Fatikchhari

Police have arrested a fake detective named Zakaria Farooqi Jaku alias Manik (48) from Nanupur Obaidia Madrasa in Fatikchhari Upazila.
Police arrested him on Saturday afternoon (February 26). The arrested person is the son of late Ruhul Amin of Akbar Shah Bari, north of Raozan upazila of Chittagong.
It is learned that Jaku, who was arrested around 3 pm on Saturday, asked to show the documents of the annual financial audit of Nanupur Obaidia Madrasa as an NSI detective. If his movements seemed suspicious at that time, the madrasa authorities informed the police. Later the police came and arrested him. Police recovered fake ID cards and various documents from him Earlier, the fake detective had asked Nanupur Jamiriya International Madrasa to show the annual income audit documents in the same manner. He then demanded a bribe of ten thousand rupees claiming that there was irregularity in the madrasa. Later the madrasa authorities gave him one thousand rupees. Confirming the incident, Fatikchhari Police Station OC Rabiul Islam said, "We arrested the fake detective police after receiving the information." A case is being filed against him.
