 The biennial conference of the All European Bengali Press Club, a family of mainstream journalists in Europe, was held in a festive atmosphere in Madrid, the capital of Spain.

The official inauguration of the conference was announced by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Spain Mohammad Sarwar Mahmud Varnadhya. Addressing the expatriate journalists, he said that journalists are the mirror of the society, they have a lot of responsibility and the country, society and the state will benefit if you can serve truthful and objective information from that place of responsibility.

Later, at the biennial conference of the organization, Zahid Momin Chowdhury, the Irish representative of NTV was elected as the president and the Spanish representative of DBC and Ion TV was elected as the general secretary.
