Two teachers fined for private tuition at Naogaon lockdown

A mobile court has fined two teachers Tk 6,000 in separate raids for disobeying government instructions during a lockdown in Naogaon's Raninagar.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rashedul Islam on Sunday (July 4) conducted separate raids in Upazila Sadar and Trimohoni Bazar and collected the fines separately.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rashedul Islam said a mobile court raid was carried out at the home of Trimohoni High School assistant teacher Awlad Hossain (Social Sciences) on the basis of news that he was teaching students privately in the house despite the ongoing lockdown. At that time teacher Awlad Hossain was teaching privately with about 15-20 students. Teacher Awlad Hossain was fined Tk 5,000 for disobeying government instructions.
On the other hand, Palash Hossain, an English teacher of Raninagar Government Model Pilot High School, has been fined Tk 2,000 for teaching privately with 15-20 students in a room of Tin Shed at Raninagar Press Club.
