Tanjina Akhter(26) wife of Abshar Kamal, a day laborer from East Bamankata village in Cox's Bazar's Islampur's 6th ward, is fighting to the death due to unbearable pain due to lack of money. A month and a half ago, he was diagnosed with various diseases including incurable cancer and liver jaundice.

Tanzina's day laborer husband earns a living from what he earns. There is no money for treatment. In the world of scarcity, tension is going on.

On Wednesday (July 21), Tanzina was seen lying in the corner of the room all day. Can't lie down properly; You can't sit, you can't walk. Can't even sleep at night in pain. Just fidgeting here and there in the hope of a little peace. Eating stopped for a week. I stopped talking for two or four days.

After feeling sick for a couple of months, he was first treated at Dulahazara Malumghat Ma-Mani Hospital. There was no improvement. He was then taken to a private hospital in Cox's Bazar. The doctor advised to take him to Dhaka from there.

Where will the day laborer's wife get so much money? It was not possible to take Dhaka. He was brought back home. In the meantime, the treatment cost about 60 thousand tk.

According to doctors, Tanzina needs an estimated tk 1.5 lakh for medical expenses. Which is impossible for day laborer Abshar Kamal.

Now there is no money to buy medicine. Tanzina Akhter is on death row at home due to lack of treatment.
