Sirajul Islam Foundation to provide financial assistance to two children with thalassemia

Brave freedom fighter Sirajul Islam Foundation stands by the side of two sisters Raha Akhter Maryam (5) and Arfin Roza (3) suffering from congenital thalassemia in Thakurgaon.

(Friday, July 30) In the afternoon, Nazmul Huda Shah Apollo, president of the late Bhagina District Volunteer League, handed over cash to the bereaved family on behalf of the Bir Muktijoddha Sirajul Islam Foundation in Road Kazipara area.

Cynthia Binte Siraj Luna, the eldest daughter of the late Sirajul Islam Foundation, the heroic freedom fighter, provided the support from Qatar, said Nazmul Huda Shah Apollo, president of the District Volunteer League.

The late Advocate Sirajul Islam, a heroic freedom fighter, was the former president of the Panchagarh district branch of the Bangladesh Awami League and the first international affairs secretary of the Central Awami League. Besides, he was a two-time MP of Panchagarh in 1970. He is also the elder brother of current Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan.

Thanking the Sirajul Islam Foundation and the Sangbakis, Raju Islam, the father of the two children, said, "Journalists publish a story about my two daughters." Then the family members of Sirajul Islam Foundation came and stood by my side through that news. I thank them. Today, with the help of them, the treatment of my children will go a long way.

Apollo, the niece of the late Sirajul Islam MP, said, "My father will save his kidney to save Raha-Roza if he does not get help." Later, he took the initiative to give 20,000 tk to the family on behalf of our family foundation "Bir Muktijoddha Sirajul Islam Foundation". I have come to give it to them today.
