In Naogaon, 108 mango trees were sacrificed by the enemy

Naogaon Porsha Upazila Nitpur West Duarpal village. The miscreants cut down 106-year-old Amrapali mango trees planted by two farmers named Ahsan Ali and Georges Ali.


Farmers Georges and Ahsan Ali said, “Last two years ago, I took a loan from a bank and leased 5 bighas of land for Tk 5 lakh from the Duarpal Jame Mosque Committee for a period of 10 years. It planted 410 mango trees. The cost of planting the trees is about 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees.


In this situation, on Friday night, July 17, the miscreants cut and broke 108 Masum mango trees. They also said that there was no dispute or trouble with anyone over the land of the mosque.

The victims including the locals have demanded exemplary punishment by bringing those involved in the incident under the law.


 Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiul Azam Khan said the victims have not yet lodged a complaint. Legal action will be taken if any complaint is received.
