Four people were detained in Guimara with illegal weapons

Army members of Sindukchhari zone have arrested four members of the UPDF (main) group with illegal weapons, receipt books, mobile sets and cash in Chhankholapara and different areas of Guimara upazila of Khagrachhari.

According to Army sources, a special Army patrol team led by Major Emran Hossain, Deputy Commander, Sindukchhari Zone, conducted operations in various areas including Guimara on the basis of secret information (late Friday night, July 9). During the operation, 4 persons including 2 LGs, 5 receipt books, 2 money bags, 6 mobile sets and Tk 365 in cash were arrested and handed over to Guimara Police Station. (22), Assistant Toll Collector Kanchai Marma (19), Assistant Toll Collector Chaila Marma (19). All the detainees are residents of Manikchhari area.

Officer-in-charge of Guimara Police Station Mohammad Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident and said that a case was being prepared at the police station.
