The government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has announced a strict lockdown from July 1, 2021 to prevent the spread of corona virus across the country. As part of raising public awareness against the outbreak of the corona virus, the 10th Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army has continued its overall activities in the tourist city of Cox's Bazar district and several upazilas of greater Chittagong district to assist the civilian administration. In addition to enforcing the lockdown, army personnel are delivering food aid to unemployed, destitute and helpless people by saving their rations.

In continuation of this, the army members of Ramu cantonment delivered relief to 1000 (one thousand) unemployed people in the remote areas of Cox's Bazar Sadar and Ramu Upazila yesterday (July 9). Also today (July 10) 650 (seven hundred and fifty) people in Chittagong district and 250 (two hundred and fifty) people in Chakoria upazila were left jobless. Delivered to the needy, uprooted and helpless people. The local people have appreciated this great initiative of the army.
