Human chain in Bhaluka to protest land grabbing and house vandalism

Locals of Paragaon, Barachala and Chatanpara villages of Habirbari Union of Mymensingh have staged a sit-in protest against land grabbing and vandalism of houses in Bhaluka of Mymensingh. The human chain was held in front of the Upazila Parishad at noon against local Juba League leaders including land robbers Mizanur Rahman, Nipun, Jangilla Monir, Helal and Alam Dakat.

 

Victims Nur Mohammad Siddiqui Tipu, Hasat Ali and Noor Alam said, "We have been tortured and our land has been confiscated on the instructions of Ejadul Haque Parul, general secretary of Upazila Juba League." We want to get rid of it. They are threatening to kill us. We want the Prime Minister to bring this torture to justice.
