Maldives Juba Dal Organizes Discussion Meeting on National Revolution and Solidarity Day

 Md. Al Amin, Maldives Correspondent:

Following the tradition of previous years, the Maldives Branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Juba Dal (Youth Wing) observed the historic November 7th National Revolution and Solidarity Day-2025 with a discussion meeting and a special prayer ceremony. The event, organized by Maldives Juba Dal, took place yesterday, Sunday, November 9th, at 10:30 p.m. at the Tandoori Felaamas Hotel in the capital, Malé.

The meeting was presided over by the proposed President of Maldives Juba Dal, Md. Ariful Islam. The discussion meeting and prayer ceremony were jointly conducted by the proposed General Secretary Abdur Mannan and former student leader Md. Monir Hossain.

The chief guest at the discussion meeting was Md. Faruk Hossain, Chief Advisor of Maldives BNP. Special guests included Ahmed Kamal, founder Convener of Maldives Juba Dal.

During the brief discussions, the president and guests stated that the conspiracies against the country are not yet over. They urged everyone to unite, set aside all minor differences among themselves, resist all conspiracies to protect the country, and work in favor of the 'Sheaf of Paddy' in the upcoming national election.

Other speakers at the event included Juba Dal leaders Haji Al Amin, Mahbub Alam, Md. Monir Hossain, Abu Zaher Molla, and Qaiyum Sikder, along with Senior Convener of Swechasebak Dal Md. Harunur Rashid and Md. Hasan. A large number of activists were present, including Md. Motaleb Hossain, Md. Mofizul Islam Vhandari, Md. Jamal Hossain, and Md. Abdul Jalil Hossain.

In their addresses, the speakers emphasized the historical significance of November 7th and praised the courageous leadership of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

It was noted that on November 7, 1975, Bangladesh began a new journey, emerging from a state of chaos and uncertainty through the joint revolution of armed forces personnel and the general populace. On that day, thousands of people took to the streets across the country, including Dhaka, to celebrate the Sepoy-People's Uprising. It was at that moment that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman emerged as a statesman.

Speakers further stated that November 7th is a historic day. The revolution led by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman to protect the country's independence, sovereignty, and democracy is a source of our inspiration. "We will unitedly advance the nationalist forces with that spirit."

The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. It concluded with a special prayer and munajat seeking the forgiveness of the souls of all martyrs of the Liberation War, the martyrs of the July-August 2024 movement, the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, and the good health and long life of the party's Acting Chairman, Mr. Tarique Rahman.

The event concluded with a dinner.
