Highly Anticipated Barisal District Association Italy Election on September 14: Unity and Brotherhood Emphasized at Discussion Meeting

The highly anticipated election of the Barisal District Association Italy is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 14. To this end, the Election Commission organized a discussion meeting.

During the event, attended by the convener committee, the election commission, all contesting candidates, and expatriates from Barisal, the chief guest and chief patron, Shahjahan Talukder, called on all Barisal residents to come to the polling station between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on September 14 to choose their representatives through a democratic process, with the goal of forming a united and well-organized Barisal District Association. He also mentioned that those who are trying to tarnish the community's image by corrupting unity and brotherhood among Barisal residents should participate in the upcoming election on September 14.

The discussion meeting was presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Al Amin Bhuiyan and jointly conducted by Office Election Commissioner Ahsan Pipu and Election Commissioner Habibur Rahman Badal.

Speeches were delivered by Convener Firoz Khan, Member Secretary Minju Sardar, Member Tajul Islam, Election Commissioners Rakib Bhuiyan, Shamim Khan, Hasan Imam Likhon, and Hadiuzzaman Himu. The candidates who spoke included presidential candidate Sohel Bhuiyan, general secretary candidate Jamal Sardar, and organizing secretary candidate Sajal Hossain.

At this time, the candidates expressed their strong determination to uphold the tradition and unity of Barisal and to maintain the contribution that expatriates from Barisal have made to the Italian community. They also pledged to continue working for the welfare of the expatriates.
