Bangladeshi Expatriate Welfare Council Italy Holds Family Get-Together

The Bangladesh Expatriate Welfare Council Italy, an organization dedicated to securing expatriates' rights, hosted a get-together at a local park in Rome, Italy. Oli Uddin Shamim, the president of the organization, stated that the event was held to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and culture among Bangladeshi expatriates.

The event officially began in a festive atmosphere in the afternoon. The park was filled with children playing and a variety of Bengali food. Leaders of local expatriate organizations, journalists, social workers, and the general public participated in the event spontaneously.

The event was presided over by the organization's president, Oli Uddin Shamim, and was lively moderated by General Secretary Atikur Rahman Rasel.

Speeches were given by Senior Vice President Hasadur Rahman Hannan, Vice Presidents Sajal Sikder and Sharif Uddin, Joint General Secretaries Minhaj Hossain, Ruhul Amin, and Ziaul Haque Zia, Treasurer Yunus Molla, Sports Secretary Imon Bepari, Organizing Secretary Arif Ahmed Arefin, Women's Secretary Faria Akhi, Member Mozammel Hossain Molla, President of the Napoli branch Haji Kabir Moral, former General Secretary of Italy BNP Khandaker Nasir Uddin, President of Sentuselle Unity Council Israfil Bari, President of Manikganj District Association Rezaul Karim Reza, General Secretary Saiful Islam Bepari, former President Nayeb Ali, social personality Billal Hossain, President of Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council Rubel Ahmed, and other leaders.

They welcomed such initiatives from expatriates and urged them to maintain unity in the future.

The organizers said that such events help to introduce the country's history and culture to the new generation born and raised abroad and maintain unity and harmony in the expatriate community.

The invited guests said in a short discussion that such events give them a taste of Bangladesh and provide temporary entertainment amid their busy work lives.
