Jubo League Leader Invited as Guest at Jamuna Bank's Youth Festival in Pirganj
Pirganj (Thakurgaon) Correspondent:
A "Youth Festival 2025" was held in Pirganj, Thakurgaon, with the goal of encouraging students to engage with banking. However, locals have expressed outrage over the invitation of Abu Sadik Palash, the Vice President of the Upazila Jubo League, as a guest at the event.
The festival was organized by the Pirganj sub-branch of Jamuna Bank on Monday afternoon as part of its customer service week and financial literacy program. The event was held in the bank's courtyard and was presided over by branch manager Abdul Momin. Speeches were delivered by Jubo League leader Abu Sadik Palash, Principal of Central School and College Ahedul Islam, bank official Saidur Rahman, and others.
Local residents complained that it is unfortunate for a renowned bank to invite a political figure to a youth-oriented event.
In response, branch manager Abdul Momin said, "I did not know he was involved with the Jubo League. Had I known, I would not have invited him as a guest."
